9/21/2015 @ 5:10 pm—Thumbtacks and Paper Flowers
In an interesting piece of news, Thumbtack has declared me their #1 Freelance Graphic Designer in the Bridgeport area. It comes with an adorable little "Best of 2015" badge widget that I have accordingly stuck under the nav bar to the left of this. In other news, I have recently acquired the most utterly fascinating device, a Silhouette Cameo, which is the illegitimate child of a printer and a die cutter. I've been using it to make increasingly elaborate paper flowers for fun, but its implications for custom event collateral are intriguing.
11/6/2014 @ 4:10 pm—More Stock Vectors
So, it's really, really cold today. Just in case anybody was wondering. As a result, I've updated the gallery with two more stock vectors ( a bunch of leaf shapes and a solar system set). Also, more good news: my vector sets have been approved for sale on |Pond5|, so please go buy them and/or tell your friends. They're also under consideration at Dreamstime and Can Stock Photo, for which I shall provide links if/when they're accepted (given that they're good enough for one stock site, one would hope they're good enough for them all). I'm having fun with this "scribble style" thing—vectors that look like they've been drawn by kids or people with too many markers. If internet browsings are to be believed, that sort of thing is "in" right now.
10/29/2014 @ 10:15 pm—Stock Vectors
Today I added a new section to my gallery, for stock vectors. I'm hoping to get them uploaded for sale on Dreamstime or Shutterstock or anywhere else that's willing. For the moment, I'm offering the paltry contribution of a single pack of flower components. Give me some time to test the waters and I'll make some more. In any case, this will give me something to do during the times when the freelance work slows down. Also in winter, because I'm inclined to hibernate anyway and might as well do some digital doodling while I'm hiding from the cold.
